Feb 23 - Vegas --> Albuquerque

Driving East from Vegas, you start to see some more color in the hills again.

Approaching Lake Mead & Hoover Dam.

That's pretty big for a man-made lake!

And incredibly beautiful!

This is the continuation of the Colorado River after it passes thru Hoover Dam...

DAM, that's a BIG dam!

Hoover Dam generates ~10% of the electricity in Las Vegas...

And it provides nearly 90% of the water in Vegas!

These are the huge electric generators deep inside the dam.

It took only 4 years to construct this...how long have they been trying to build the new Bay Bridge???

There's nuthin' and nobody out here in AZ...

Just lots of long straight road.

And more road...

Oh look, a turn in the road...and the beginnings of a rainbow!

Heading into Flagstaff was pretty cold. And there was snow visible in the mountains ahead. The landscape certainly changed over the last few hours as well.
